OK, I bought this as a gift for my cuz. I took it out of the box to inspect it. It was love at first sight. So roomy.. but, it did stink. I sprayed it with Vamoose! and whalla, it worked. Smells as fresh as a daisy. I put it back in the box and wrapped it up. She loved it!

Large space for playing, solid construction, wheels to make it mobile without heavy lifting, and meets expectation. Good product. Did not smell as stated by others. Do not understand why the yellow and red colors were cheaper than the black so if color is not an issue, go for the other colors. Recommended highly. btw, easy as pie to set up.

We've owed our Joovy for over 3 months now and it has been a sturdy and portable playyard. It packs easily in the carrying case and is fairly easy to set up and use. The only drawback has been the rotten smell of the fabric as soon as it was taken out of the packaging, (which smells similar to dried vomit in my opinion). After 3 months of "airing out" I had hoped that the smell would go away but it persistently lingers. Overall this is a decent product but I recommend that it be used outdoors or throughly cleaned with soap and water before use.

This play yard is great, its much larger than a conventional "Pack n Play" it is also slightly higher for the acrobatic escape artists. It is considerably heavier and moving it from room to room is a bit of a fiasco if you have doorways. This is not one that you would bring on a day to day basis, but if you have a day trip, its perfect. There is no elevated sleep shelf (0-6 month setting) so this is more for the infant that is upright and can sit on his/her own.
Don't listen to all the negative reviews about a smell. I don't know what new plastic product doesn't have a slight smell. it is negligible and should not sway you from purchasing this item. You will be happy you did!
