5 out of 5 stars Best $$$ EVER spent!   September 1, 2010
Rayna E. Latorre
I love my ERGO and use it every day. I had used a few different carriers with my son when he was younger and once he reached about 10 pounds it put too much strain on my back. I do not have that problem with this one, and my daughter is almost 15 pounds. With other carriers I would have to take my child out to nurse, but I can nurse my daughter discretely while she is in the ERGO. She'll fuss for a minute when I first put her in it, but she will settle down pretty quickly once she's in there. She loves being snuggled so close to me. I've worn her in it for about 4 hours at a time and it never gets uncomfortable, sitting or standing. The pocket on the front is perfect size to fit my keys, a small burb cloth and a binky (we use soothie pacifiers). I haven't tried to carrier my older son in it yet, but I'm planning on trying it this weekend when we go to a festival.

2 out of 5 stars Not what I expected for the money   August 31, 2010

I bought this item for my son and because I read so many reviews on it. When I got it I tried it out with my son who is 19 lbs. The carrier itself is very bulky. He did fit in it some what comfortably but wearing it was not comfortable. The chest strap was a pain. What I did not like AT ALL about the item was the waist strap that goes around my waist when carrying him on my back. It digs into your stomach flab and is not very flattering. I returned this item and bought the infantino wrap and tie and it is SO comfortable. I have back pain from both of my pregnancies and I used to use the bijorn but it made my back hurt so much. This infantino is WONDERFUL and it puts absolutely no strain on your back.

Very user friendly and totally worth the money. I use it everywhere I go and have used it with both my infant and my two and a half year old.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointed!   August 16, 2010
H. Wendler (Texas)
I really had high hopes for this carrier. I searched and searched until I finally chose this one. To be honest, the fabric is way too thick and bulky. I find it causes my 4 month old and I to sweat entirely too much when we are attached! Also, I don't feel he is very secure in it. I don't want to make it too tight as that would be uncomfortable for me, but when just right, he feels a little unstable. After only half an hour, I feel my back starting to ache as well, I'm sure from the lack of support. This one is just not for me!!

Before purchasing this carrier, i researched and researched and researched and- oh yes, researched some more. Why? Because 100 bucks is a heck of a lot to put down on a baby backpack... Sheesh.

Ergo consistently gets great reviews- from Moms, Baby Boards, BabyWearers, etc etc etc. There is a REASON for this. If you frequently wear your baby (errands, travel, exercise) it is worth the investment. I tried cheaper carriers (Baby Bjorn, Infantino, and such) which all caused me discomfort, pain, and frustration (not to mention the howling infant who hated the difficult enter/exit process of these). I stopped enjoying my time out with baby, and hated dragging our huge stroller around. SEVERAL carriers later, I broke down and finally bought the Ergo in Galaxy Grey-

First, it's SO pretty! SO PRETTY! I am happy to wear it anywhere, and me and baby feel so stylin' when we go out! The material is comfortable and DURABLE, the design is GORGEOUS (especially the swirlys on the sleep hood). Also- it's gender neutral enough for any baby. It somehow manages to look feminine on me and masculine on my husband.

The moment it came in the mail, baby and I put it on and got going! WE HAVEN'T STOPPED SINCE! My Ergo hangs on a hook by the front door, and we rarely leave it there! This was almost as good as buying a gym membership- we walk everywhere! The straps are thickly padded and never dig into my shoulders, no matter how long we are out. My baby's weight is distributed evenly and well, she feels much lighter in this carrier- and the fabric breathes, which is great during the sweltering hot summers we have here. The instructions for carry are simple, i never worry that she isn't secure enough and I can EASILY get her in and out of this, even when she is sleeping!

If I had made this incredible investment to begin with, I would have saved myself the $80 I spent on 4 cheaper carriers, and avoided all the aggravation!

ERGO! ERGO! ERGO! Hollaaaaaa!
